How an ARCA setup works
| Piece | Job |
|---|---|
| ARCA rail | Bolts to M-LOK slots or a stock and gives a clamping surface |
| ARCA bipod | Slides on the rail, so you can balance the rifle |
| Tripod with ARCA clamp | Grips the same rail for standing or sitting shots |
Rail length matters. Longer rails give more room to slide the bipod and to balance on a tripod.
Brands like Odin Works, Warrior Tripods, Accu-Tac, Warne, MDT, Audere and Q, with more added as stock comes in.
ARCA FAQ
What does ARCA mean on a bipod?
The bipod clamps onto an ARCA-Swiss style dovetail rail instead of Picatinny or a sling stud. The same rail fits ARCA tripod clamps.
Do I need an ARCA rail on my rifle?
Only if you want an ARCA bipod or to clamp the rifle straight to a tripod. Many chassis stocks come with one built in.
