Pick a lens color
| Lens | Best for |
|---|---|
| Clear | Indoor ranges, overcast days and dusk |
| Amber or yellow | Low light, and sharper contrast on targets |
| Smoke or gray | Bright sun with true colors |
| Orange or vermilion | Picking up clays against sky and trees |
Look for an ANSI Z87.1 or Z87+ marking on the frame or packaging, which means the lenses passed impact testing.

Shooting Glasses FAQ
Can I wear shooting glasses over prescription glasses?
Yes, with fit-over styles built to go on top of regular frames. Some Wiley X frames also accept prescription inserts.
Why do shooting glasses need to be impact rated?
Brass, fragments from steel and debris kicked up by the gun all fly at speed. Impact-rated lenses are tested to stop that kind of hit.
