Punch Set FAQ
Why do roll pins need a special punch?
A flat punch can catch the edge of a hollow roll pin and flare it. A roll pin punch has a small center tip that sits inside the pin.
What hammer should I use?
A light gunsmith hammer with a brass or nylon face gives control without denting parts. Heavy shop hammers make it easy to bend a pin or crack a frame.
