Rifle Cleaning Kit FAQ
One-piece rod or a cable?
A one-piece rod gives the most push on a tight patch and has no joints to rub the bore. A cable or pull-through packs smaller and rides better in a range bag.
Which end should I clean from?
From the chamber end whenever the action allows it. Cleaning from the breech keeps grit from being pushed back toward the chamber and spares the crown at the muzzle. A bore guide keeps the rod centered on a bolt gun.
