38 Super Pistol FAQ
Is 38 Super the same as 38 Special?
No. 38 Super is a semi auto cartridge and 38 Special is a revolver round. They do not interchange.
Why pick 38 Super over 9mm in a 1911?
More velocity from a gun built around a longer cartridge, with mild recoil. 9mm ammo costs less and is easier to find.
