What the bore sizes mean
Ratings change with configuration. A can rated for a rifle caliber in its long setup may not be rated for it in its short one.
| Bore | Typical range |
|---|---|
| 36 cal | 9mm and other pistol calibers up to .357, plus many rifle calibers up to 30 cal, depending on the can. |
| 46 cal | 45 ACP and other pistol calibers, plus rifle calibers up to 458 on some cans. |
Mounts, pistons and covers are in Suppressor Parts.

Multi-Caliber Suppressors FAQ
Is a multi caliber can a good first suppressor?
For someone with several guns, often yes. For one gun, a dedicated can will be quieter and lighter.
What mount do I need?
One for each host: a piston for tilting barrel pistols, and a direct thread or quick detach mount for rifles. Mounts are in Suppressor Parts.
Will it run rimfire?
Many multi caliber cans are rated for 22 LR, but a dedicated rimfire can is lighter and much easier to clean. See 22 LR & Rimfire Suppressors.
Suppressor laws vary by state, and some states ban them outright. Check the rules where you live before you order. We cannot give legal advice. Questions go to gungearwarehousellc@gmail.com.
