Threads and pistons
.578x28 is the most common 45 ACP thread. Thread pitches vary more on 10mm and 40 S&W barrels, so check yours before you pick a piston.
| Caliber | What to check |
|---|---|
| 45 ACP | Thread pitch, usually .578x28, and a piston to match. |
| 10mm | A 10mm rating on the can. It runs at higher pressure than 45 ACP. |
| 9mm and 40 S&W | A rating for that caliber and the right piston or end cap. |
Mounts, pistons and covers are in Suppressor Parts.

45 ACP & 10mm Suppressors FAQ
Why does 45 ACP suppress so well?
Most 230 grain 45 ACP is subsonic straight out of the box, so there is no supersonic crack to deal with.
Will any 45 can run 10mm?
No. Only cans rated for 10mm. Check the rating on the product page before you buy.
Is a 45 can louder on 9mm?
Slightly, since the bore is bigger than the bullet. The trade is one can for several pistols.
Suppressor laws vary by state, and some states ban them outright. Check the rules where you live before you order. We cannot give legal advice. Questions go to gungearwarehousellc@gmail.com.
